Terms of Service

Pikora is a fashion styling community. You build outfits, post them, and rate and remix what other people make. These terms are the agreement between you and Pikora. By creating an account or posting anything, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

Who we are

Pikora is operated by Erebouni Khachik, trading as Pikora by Erebouni Khachik, a sole trader registered with the Milan Companies Register, VAT number IT13726650966, at Via Alfredo Catalani 43, 20131 Milan, Italy. How old you must be

You must be at least 16 to use Pikora. Sixteen is at or above the age of digital consent everywhere we operate, so no separate lower limit applies. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.

What you may not post

• Nudity, sexual content, or anything that sexualises a minor in any way.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that attacks a person or group.
• Violent, graphic, or shocking imagery.
• Content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous behaviour.
• Illegal content, illegal goods, or counterfeit products.
• Spam, scams, misleading claims, or bulk promotional content.
• Photographs of other people posted without their permission, and any content whose main subject is a person's face or body rather than the clothing.
• Anything you do not have the right to use — see the next section.

Pikora is about styling clothes. Ratings on Pikora apply to the outfit, never to a person.

Content you provide

Almost everything on Pikora was chosen and provided by a person. You decide what to photograph, what to import from the web, what to build, and what to publish. Pikora does not go out and collect products from retailers' websites on its own, and it does not publish anything on your behalf.

What you are responsible for

You are responsible for making sure you have the rights, permissions or other lawful basis you need for the content you provide and, in particular, for anything you choose to publish. That applies to photographs you take, images you import from a website, and anything else you upload.

Taking a screenshot of something does not make it yours. Removing the background does not change who owns a photograph. If you are not sure you may publish something, do not publish it.

Other people's intellectual property

Brand names, logos, trademarks, product photographs and other third-party intellectual property remain owned by their respective owners. Pikora does not claim ownership of anything simply because it was imported into the app, and importing something does not transfer any right to you either.

Brand names appear in Pikora only to identify the real item a piece refers to.

Your private wardrobe

Items you import or upload go into your own wardrobe. They are private. They are not published, they are not added to any shared Pikora catalogue, and other members cannot take a copy of them. An imported item stays private unless you use it in something you deliberately choose to publish.

When somebody remixes a look of yours, they do not receive your privately imported items. Your published look is shown to them as a starting point, as it is to anybody who opens it, but each borrowed piece is marked as still yours and they cannot publish their version until they have dealt with that piece themselves: re-imported it from its original source, or replaced it with an image they have the right or permission to use. Their layout stays as they built it. Nothing enters their wardrobe until they fetch it.

Publishing

Nothing becomes public automatically. A look becomes public when you tap Post, and the app tells you which you are doing before you do it. You decide when that happens and you are responsible for what you publish.

Entering a challenge is one of those decisions, with a delay built in. A challenge entry is sealed while the challenge is open, so nobody sees anyone else's, and every entry is revealed together when voting begins. You choose to enter; the timing of the reveal belongs to the challenge, and an entry cannot be made private once it is in.

Underneath a published look we show the pieces in it. For pieces you imported yourself, that list uses Pikora's own category drawings together with the category, the shop's name and your link — we do not republish the shop's product photograph there.

The permission you give Pikora

You keep ownership of your content. Nothing here transfers it to us.

You grant Pikora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to do only what is reasonably necessary to run the service for you, namely to:

• store your private content,
• process it so the app works, including removing backgrounds and preparing images for display,
• assemble it into the outfits you build and show them back to you,
• host and display the content you explicitly choose to publish,
• operate the community features around it — the feed, ratings, comments, saves, challenges and voting,
• show a look you have published inside Pikora's own introduction screens and in the pictures that describe Pikora in an app store or on our website. Only published looks, never anything private, and never with your name or handle attached unless we have asked you first. If you would rather your work was not used this way, tell us at hello@pikora.co and we will stop, and we will not ask why.

The licence exists so the app can function and to show what Pikora is, and it goes no further than that. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except that a look somebody else built using a piece from Pikora's own catalogue keeps that piece, because that piece was never yours.

The introduction screens read the looks they show from Pikora as the app runs, rather than carrying copies inside it. That is deliberate: it is how deleting a look removes it from there too. Pictures already published in an app store cannot be recalled that way, so we replace those at the next update.

When we act on intellectual property

We may restrict, disable or remove content that appears to infringe somebody else's rights. Restricting takes content out of public view while we look at it; removing deletes it. We review intellectual property complaints promptly and remove or restrict content where appropriate.

How to report an infringement, and what to include, is set out in our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy. You can also report content from inside the app, and if you believe we restricted something of yours wrongly you can tell us and a person will look again.

Repeated infringement

Pikora does not knowingly allow repeated infringement. Where complaints against an account are upheld, we may issue a warning, remove the content, record a strike against the account, restrict it, suspend it or close it. How serious the infringement is matters as much as how often it has happened, and these decisions are made by a person reviewing the case.

Claims arising from your content

If somebody brings a claim against us because of content you provided or published in breach of these terms, you agree to be responsible for the reasonable losses and costs we incur as a result, so far as the law allows. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have as a consumer.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

Every look, comment and profile in Pikora has a report button, and you can block any member, which hides their content from you. Reports reach a human, and we act on objectionable content — the things listed under what you may not post — as quickly as we can.

Intellectual property complaints work differently, because they can turn on who owns what. We review them promptly and act where appropriate. We do not put a deadline on a decision that may turn on who owns what.

Where we act, we may remove content, restrict it, warn an account, suspend it or close it, depending on what happened and whether it has happened before. This is also our notice-and-action mechanism under the EU Digital Services Act, and you will receive a reply explaining what we decided.

Brands, shops and links

Pikora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of any brand or retailer named in the app, unless we say so explicitly. Brand names appear only to identify the real item a piece refers to, and are the trademarks of their owners.

When you tap a shop link you leave Pikora and go to that retailer's own website. What happens there — prices, stock, payment, delivery, returns — is between you and that retailer. We do not control it and we are not responsible for it.

Some items in Pikora link to Pikora’s own shop. Buying one of those is a purchase from us, and our shop’s own terms cover it.

Where a link is an affiliate link, Pikora may earn a commission when you buy something after following it. This never changes the price you pay. At the time of writing Pikora takes part in no affiliate programme and earns no such commission; this clause is here so that we may, and if we do we will say so in the Privacy Policy before it starts.

What is public, and what you can do with other people’s looks

Posting a look makes it public: it carries your username, and other members can see it, rate it, save it, remix it and — if you entered it into a challenge — vote on it. Private looks and the pieces in your wardrobe stay yours until you publish something that uses them. The app tells you which you are doing before you do it.

Pikora has features that build on what other people made — Remix, Inspiration and Surprise Look. Using them is allowed and encouraged, and it works within the app: it produces a new look of yours, and the original keeps its author.

A remix starts from somebody else’s look, so the pictures in it start as theirs. Before you post a remix, every borrowed piece has to be re-imported from its original source, or replaced with an image you have the right or permission to use. Your layout stays the same either way: it is the photographs that have to become yours, not the outfit you arranged. The app will not let a remix be published until that is done, and it tells you how many pieces are outstanding.

What you may not do is take somebody’s look or their photographs out of Pikora and pass them off as your own.

Coins, prizes and challenges

Coins are a feature of the app. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and expire if your account is closed. Nothing here is a promise that coins will ever be exchangeable for money or goods; if we ever introduce anything of the kind, it will be announced with its own terms.

Challenge prizes are subject to the rules published with each challenge. A challenge that offers no prize offers recognition only — a Challenge Winner badge — and that is not a prize draw or a lottery.

Challenges are decided by members voting, so they only work if the voting is honest. You may enter a challenge once. You cannot vote on your own entry, and the app does not offer it to you. You may not use a second account, ask for votes in exchange for anything, or use any automated means to influence a result. We may remove an entry, void a result, take back a badge or suspend an account where we find any of this, and our decision on the outcome of a challenge is final.

Invitations

You can invite people by sharing your link. Send it to people who would actually want it: do not post it in bulk, spam it, or send it to strangers, and do not suggest that Pikora asked you to contact them. We may cancel referral rewards that came from any of that.

What we send you

Some email is part of having an account — your sign-in code, security notices, and anything we must tell you about changes to these terms or the Privacy Policy. You cannot switch those off while keeping the account, because the account does not work without them.

Marketing email is different, and agreeing to these terms is not agreement to receive it. We ask for that separately, it is off unless you switch it on, and you can switch it off at any time in the app or from the unsubscribe link in any such email. Notifications to your phone are separate again, and controlled by your phone and by the settings in the app.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app, which permanently removes your account and the content attached to it.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and we may remove any content that breaks them.

The app itself

Pikora is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Italian or EU law.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app. These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory protections of the country you live in.
