Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

Pikora — last updated 29 August 2026

Pikora is a styling community. People build outfits from clothes they already own, from photographs they take, and from items they find themselves on shops' own websites. Almost everything on Pikora was chosen and provided by a person, not by us.

That means brand names, logos, trademarks and product photographs on Pikora belong to the people and companies that own them. Nothing becomes ours because somebody imported it, and nothing becomes theirs either. If you own a right and you believe something on Pikora infringes it, this page explains how to tell us and what we do about it.

Where to write

ip@pikora.co — for copyright, trademark and other intellectual property complaints.

What to include in a complaint

We can only act on what we can identify. Please tell us:

  1. Your name and contact details, and the company or brand you act for if that applies.
  2. What the work is: the photograph, design, logo, trademark or other right you say has been infringed. A link to where it appears on your own website or register is the clearest way.
  3. Exactly what on Pikora you are complaining about. A URL, a post link or a post ID, or enough detail that we can find the same thing you are looking at. "Something on your app" is not enough for us to act on.
  4. What the problem is, in your own words.
  5. Any evidence or other information you think is relevant.
  6. A statement that you own the right, or that you are authorised to act on behalf of whoever does.

You may also report content from inside the app. Open the post, tap the menu, choose Report, and pick Intellectual property. That reaches the same people. For a formal claim by a rights holder, writing to ip@pikora.co with the detail above is better, because it gives us what we need to decide.

What we do with it

Every intellectual property complaint we receive is opened as a case with its own reference, and a person reviews it. We treat urgent notices as urgent.

We review intellectual property complaints promptly and may remove or restrict content where appropriate. Depending on what we find, we may:

We keep a record of each case and of what we did, including after content has been removed, so that we can account for our decisions. How long we keep those records is set out in our Privacy Policy.

What this page is not

This is a route for telling us about a problem, and nothing on this page limits what you may otherwise do. You are not required to contact us before pursuing any other remedy, and contacting us does not affect any right you have.

Equally, removing or restricting content is a decision we take about our own service. It is not a legal finding about who owns what, and we are not in a position to settle a dispute between two people over a right.

Counter-notice

If your content was restricted or removed and you believe that was wrong, write to ip@pikora.co and tell us why, with anything that supports it — a licence, permission from the rights holder, or the reason you believe the complaint was mistaken. A person will look at it, and we will restore content where we conclude it should not have come down.

Repeated infringement

Pikora does not knowingly allow repeated infringement. Where complaints against an account are upheld more than once, we may issue warnings, restrict the account, suspend it, or close it. These decisions are made by a person reviewing the case, not automatically, and how serious the infringement is matters as much as how often it has happened.

Imported items and public posts

Two different things happen in Pikora, and they are treated differently.

The links under a look open the original shop. Pikora is not affiliated with listed brands unless stated otherwise. That is a statement about who we are, not a claim to use anybody's material.
